Save or Die Episode 128: "Save vs. Pacesetter Games"

We at Save or Die do our best to review the products and companies of the Old School Renaissance, and as part of that effort we invite onto the show Bill Barsh, president of Pacesetter Games and Simulations. Pacesetter was one of the first companies to produce OSR compatible modules and supplements, and we will discuss Pacesetter's contributions to the Classic D&D community as well as future products.

Listen to the Podcast today, another fine episode. I'm so glad their are publishers out there still supporting TSR D&D. I didn't know too much about pacesetter till today and checked out their website. Grab a copy of Blood Cults, an AD&D boxset. Looking forward to reading through. Also Thac0 was used in later module during 1e days. I'm currently running an OSRIC/AD&D 1e campaign and use Thac0 myself. I just ignore the repeating 20s on the combat matrix. Makes things go rather smoothly.

Another enjoyable episode. I had heard of Pacesetter, but I didn't realize how involved they were with D&D.
Their.miniatures are phenomenal.

Thanks guys, and I do like Center Stage minis so I'm hoping they'll be available again soon. I've only got Orcus and Geryone...I've got a lot more Demons/Devils to get!

DM (Good at buying minis he'll probably never use) Mike
