"What Happened In Between"
A collection of 14 side encounters to help fill in the gaps between adventures or complete a level before heading to that next big adventure.
Will support OSR, 5e and Pathfinder (not clear if 1 mega product, 2 or 3 separate products)
Written by Logan McNeil, with Kevin Watson

Logan is also writing some of the lore for the 2nd part of the Haunting of Hastur series, "A Zikurat in the Clay"

A Suggestion:

Please give us boxed text descriptions that can be easily cut & pasted into Virtual Tabletop or Play-by-Post gaming sites !

Descriptions that don't reveal what the players do not or can not know on first sight of / encounter of area.

Then below the box, anything else is described that may be revealed later, again arranged so it's an easy cut & paste !

I will roll the idea around. I really don't like boxed/read aloud text.
I realize you are looking for something less read aloud (or I think you are at least) and more easily distinguished room description separate from the DM only info of the room.

Wow! The DM needs something to 'read' to the players to describe what they initially see or encounter !

Here is an example, of what the party readily notes even if the 4 Cultists are present & spring upon them right away.

Room 6 - Cultist Quarters

=====================================
This 25' x 20' room, with 10' high ceiling, appears to be
a room for 4 Cultists. It contains 4 bedrolls, 4 prayer rugs,
an incense burner, several bundles of incense and a book of
prayer.
The walls are covered in floor-to-ceiling heavy maroon
curtains, with simple contrasting stitching of yellow.
The room otherwise appears a bit spartan.
You note the slight smell of smokey lavender incense in the room.
=====================================

This room,  is a prayer room and residence
for four cultists. There are four cultists here, preparing
to patrol the temple. They will not be surprised and will
attack the party on sight.

---------------------------
For Players (If room is occupied):
You are suddenly jumped upon & attacked by 4 Cultists
whom were not surprised of your presence !
---------------------------

Optionally the room could be empty, and the
cultists could return from a patrol as the party
begins to rest. This is up to the GM to decide.
If the GM wishes to have the cultists not
preparing for a patrol and behave like other cultists
in their rooms, use the table from Room 8 to
adjudicate what they are doing.

---------------------
For Players (If Cultist return from patrol):
As you are examining or resting in the room, 4 cultists
have entered, with weapons drawn !
----------------------

Roll to see if any party members were surprised by the returning cultists.

On another note:
It would be helpful if you list the Monster / NPC's Ability stats (Str, Int, Wis, etc), in the bestiary section !

Also, maybe no need to mention the room dimensions, aside from how high the ceiling is or how deep the floor is, (If they deviate from the norm of 10 ft high or the floor goes lower),
as players can see the dimensions from what the DM draws on the map or reveals on virtual table-top.

I am sorry you are shocked that I don't like read aloud text. I always prepare in a way that I get the information you are looking for from my prep. Usually find the real aloud text is from a single POV that applied to the player situation less than half the time.  (Wrong entrance, There's 300 words of text and nothing in the text would be noticed when they open the door because they need to be in a combat. Leading details are brought to light, etc.)

Thanks for the feedback.

Yea, sometimes the text can be too revealing, as I've had that happen when i would copy/paste & then go, "Sigh, you are not supposed to know that part yet."

But really don't hate the box, hate when they get all fluffy with the description, that they turn it into a mini-novel, that you have to pick & choose what to reveal & tell the players ! ;p

It is a head scratcher, when they do that & some of the info should be outside the box to be revealed later, or another box for situational descriptions later on, for example.

Now, i'm not saying one has to use a visible box, just the structural idea of the whole thing, besides, not having them visibly, leaves more space for more text per page, i would think !
