the custom d6 is already unlocked. The sixth goal is an OSR print run.

Other Games / Re: a question about LotP and free RPG day

I got a copy, and went back and got one for a friend and reviewer.
As far as being available elsewhere, I can't help. I have no idea.

Kickstarters / Re: What is your limit?
« on: August 07, 2016, 09:11:01 PM »
I don't really have an explicit limit.
I back when inspired.
Sometimes I get the dead tree version, sometimes I don't.
I made a point of spending 10% of my KS total on indie games to help pay things forward.

The video should be finished Tuesday. I will add some art, maps and a mockup of the cover sometime this week.

Feedback is requested. If you don't have any, please leave a note telling me you were there.

Dark Naga / 20 days until the next KS campaign from Dark Naga

"The Buried Zikurat" is in final edit, and the KS is planned for an Aug 13 launch.
Just waiting for the last of the playtest feedback to come in.

Common thread I am seeing is people think the treasure is too light.

Not all D&D campaigns make their players millionaires by level 8.

Mine definitely don't. Then again, I don't have gold sinks like training costs, and magic items cannot be bought or sold, making the need for a ton of gold greatly reduced.
We just finished playing through "Temple of Elemental Evil" and the players were so rich, they retired.

Interesting review

Campaign Worlds / Re: Forgotten Realms - Back in the day.

That is exactly why I don't run FR, and why my campaign setting, when published will start with something along the lines of:

This is yours now. Do with it what you will. There will be no "advancing the story" and no canon products to follow.

General Discussion / Re: GenCon

With the shift from gaming con to geek culture con, the only attraction there is the auction.
And there are equally well done auctions at all cons that Tim Kask and Frank Menzter attend. (North TX, Gary, and Gamehole)

I am with Alex, I'll attend if I can go as a vendor and only if I determine that that is the best use of those dollars. If NorthTX, Origins, Gary or Gamehole Con are an equal or better return on my investment, I will defer to them instead.

Until either Indy solves their hotel issues or GenCon moves to Vegas, I don't expect to attend.

Dark Naga / Free 2 page encounter from Dark Naga Games
« on: May 08, 2016, 06:51:54 PM »
I wrote a quick, single encounter prequel to "The Lost Temple of Forgotten Evil" last week.
It should be released this week, and will be free.
The inspiration came from a local DM whose party is a little low level for the adventure.
This side quest is a chance encounter with a trade caravan, the players, bandits and some cultists. It give the players a glimpse at the cult in action, and offers about 350xp per player.
I plan on releasing 2 or 3 more of these for LToFE to help inspire people to check out the adventure.
Will post the link once Fat Goblin Games finishes final prep and posts it.

I am sorry you are shocked that I don't like read aloud text. I always prepare in a way that I get the information you are looking for from my prep. Usually find the real aloud text is from a single POV that applied to the player situation less than half the time.  (Wrong entrance, There's 300 words of text and nothing in the text would be noticed when they open the door because they need to be in a combat. Leading details are brought to light, etc.)

Thanks for the feedback.
