Save for Half Podcast / Re: Save for Half Episode #2: "Gamma World"
« on: May 01, 2016, 09:28:30 AM »
I remember what I was going to ask:
Did TSR or anyone else, in the 1978-1985 years release modules for Gamma World?
I don't remember the podcast mentioning them.
If there are, are there any good ones that anyone remembers?

Though I've never played them, there were a few released.

Great installment! Mike's five stars inspired me to drop $5 on Winds of the Ice Forest.

First Edition AD&D / Re: High-level 1E module with one player?

The last one-on-one high level Adnd I ran was from a Dungeon Magazine, A Threshold of Evil. Fantastic adventure. Ended up whacking the PC and his friends had to come rescue him. Good times!

....and a guitarist for fun.

Fantastic! Welcome to the Forums!

Personal Info:
Middle-aged fat man, married father of two who dwells in Southwestern VA and Western NC. Materials/Supply Chain dude by day.

Started back in the mid /late 1980s with ADnD. Love anything old-school. Love the new HackMaster as well as Aces and Eights, Twilight 2000, SWD6, TORG, and others I'm forgetting at the moment

Geek Cred:
Thin, compared to many superstars in this place. I did manage to swindle an Honorary Knights of the Dinner Table title and I've done some sub-par artwork that was accepted into the OSRIC and another monsters book.

Turn Ons:
People who can laugh at themselves and genuinely enjoy games. Cool old-school artwork. Sages.

Turn Offs:
People who take themselves too seriously.

Favorite Module:
Either Lost City or the Scourge of the Slave Lords.

Favorite Die:

Campaigns or one-offs, anything old-school. I can provide references if needed.

First Edition AD&D / Re: Favorite PHB Class to Play

Yeah, but I always seem to have players that want to play the sub-classes. I'm usually pretty happy just with the core four.

The subclasses can be fun but the core 4 work for me.

I completely agree. I've had some great times playing Paladins and Rangers. I'd be interested in playing a druid in the right campaign as well.

My first ADND experience was playing a tough ranger in a humanoid rich Slavers series campaign - Ranger are near and dear to my heart. They are followed closely by thief - and typically human or half elven.

Thanks for setting these back up! Is there a "looking for players/games" area, or would that be just a stickie thread?

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
