Title: Does this layout make sense?
Post by: Mojo on February 26, 2016, 06:46:39 PM
Am hoping this copy and pastes right. This is how the playable races would look. Please tell me what you think. This is just a sample race.
Ohh wait, I can attach the thing. Cool. So never mind Check out the attachment for the sample and then let me have it. Don't hold back. Need to know how good or how horrible it is. Remember this would be for those that have never played a RPG before. Thanks.

Looks good. Most RPG stuff works well in 2 columns instead of 1 for things like this. Might want to see how it looks in 2 column

How do I do it in two columns? This is all pre-format just in Microsoft Word Doc. I am waiting until I have art and everything ready to go before I format with Microsoft Publisher. To be honest I am still trying to figure that thing out. Any other helpful tips and tricks you or anybody can share please keep them coming. Everything is very appreciated. Without the good folks here I doubt my game would ever get off the ground.

In my version of word (2013), I got to the "Page Layout" tab, and Columns is the 4th option from the left in the left most (page setup) box. Margins, Orientation, Size, Columns

It might be placed slightly different in other versions. MS can't keep a consistent interface for the life of them

Cool I will look for the tab in question and see what kind of damage I can do then. lol. Thanks for the info Kevin. I really appreciate it. Lord knows this old timer needs all the help he can get.

Here’s my standard suggested reading for typography.

I need to find a good one for layout.

I use LibreOffice-Writer.
I found this template:http://templates.libreoffice.org/template-center/standardvorlage-palatino-2012-default-template-palatino

I dont understand the language used on the site and I dont understand how to make templates but I copied your data into it and it looks pretty good except for the line spacing.
