Spam Issues
« on: November 07, 2016, 10:59:51 AM »
I just wanted to send a general announcement that we are aware of the spam issues. I've been working with the moderators to help remove it as quickly as we can, and have been busy updating the forum software and adding mods to the forums to help deal with it. If it continues, I will be requiring admin approval for account registration, but I hope that is not necessary. Thank you everyone for your patience!

Good news, it has been a few days, and the spam is gone. I got an app that automatically checks every new registers IP, Username, and E-mail against a database. If it is clean, it lets it through, if it couldn't check it for some reason (database down, whatever), or if it is rejected it places it up for admin approval. I've had a couple that I wasn't sure about, so let them through, so there may be some spam, but it should be mostly cleared up now.

Thank you for your patience!

Thanks guys.

We had a couple make it through today and yesterday, but upon further inspection they were all registered before we got the working anti-spam measures. So there may still be a few who registered early november late october in hiding that will post.
