Yes, thanks for the chance.  I was sad it looked like SOD was wrapping up, and thrilled when you came back with the new show.

1.  AD&D Second Edition.  Core books, just the PHB, your favourite splat book - whatever portion you have played and can talk about without too much prep work.

2.  Advanced Fighting Fantasy - the tabletop RPG based on the classic choose-your-own-adventure style Fighting Fantasy gamebooks.

3.  BECMI or the RC - I know you already covered parts of it, but if you want to expand or revisit, I would like to hear what your new cast has to say.  Preferably without that clown you had on last time you covered a red box.  :)

4.  Traveller.

5.  AD&D First Edition.
Please try my old school computer game (link) and tell me what you think.

RuneQuest
RoleMaster
MERP
Top Secret
Marvel Super Heroes

and for good measure, just because I always wanted to play them:

SPACE: 1889
Boot Hill
Gamma World
GURPS (just the core book)
RIFTS
Macho Women with Guns (the real version, not the d20 stuff)

Until recently I would have had that in there, too. But since the new Chaosium took over I've pretty much lost every ounce of interest in the game. The final straw was when they "complimented" me on my D100II SRD ... https://basicroleplaying.org/topic/6255-end-of-the-line-for-the-d100ii-srd/

Wow, sorry to hear about that Vile. That is obnoxious from them. Before they did that, what happened with the new Chaosium? I haven't kept up with changes in them.

1. Dungeons & Dragons (B/X, BECMI)
2. Call of Cthulhu
3. Champions (4e)
4. Chill
5. Cyberpunk 2020

Does anybody else think it's odd that my top five fall with the first 4 letters of the alphabet?
It almost looks like I'm trying out games in alphabetical order and haven't made it past the E's yet.  ;D

  • Star Frontiers
  • Star Wars (D6)
  • Paranoia
  • Ghostbusters
  • Savage Worlds

D&D and AD&D are always on my best list as the premium choices, however, I assumed that you are looking for games that might fall outside these.
