Other Games / Re: Gamma World

I have not played Gamma World.  I think I missed the boat on that one back in the day.  If the older (better?) versions show up on DTRPG, I will buy them and have a look.

Other Games / I am fed up with the limited availability of 5E
« on: May 17, 2017, 10:23:48 AM »
More and more product is coming out for 5E.  I only buy PDFs, and am very annoyed that the core books are print-only.  I'm not going to spend $105 to buy the three core books from Amazon in a format I don't like, thanks.  If there were $10 DTRPG PDFs, I'd already be playing them, and buying the accessories they DO publish on DTRPG.

Anyone know why 5E is not being published digitally?  Anyone know when it might be in the future?

I am really enjoying listening to this one.

Thanks for moving letters to their own podcasts!

Save for Half Podcast / Re: What's YOUR Top 5?

Yes, thanks for the chance.  I was sad it looked like SOD was wrapping up, and thrilled when you came back with the new show.

1.  AD&D Second Edition.  Core books, just the PHB, your favourite splat book - whatever portion you have played and can talk about without too much prep work.

2.  Advanced Fighting Fantasy - the tabletop RPG based on the classic choose-your-own-adventure style Fighting Fantasy gamebooks.

3.  BECMI or the RC - I know you already covered parts of it, but if you want to expand or revisit, I would like to hear what your new cast has to say.  Preferably without that clown you had on last time you covered a red box.  :)

4.  Traveller.

5.  AD&D First Edition.

WotC D&D / Re: New versions of B1 and B2
« on: March 28, 2017, 02:51:38 PM »
I wondered what they would do to pad out 32-page modules that used to come in folders into enough content to justify a hardback price.

It is interesting that WotC is licensing this kind of thing to Goodman.

Great deal.  Just paid $18.50 for the whole set.  I wanted to buy them for a while now, but held off because of the prices.  Looking forward to reading them now!

I don't mind excessive pauses.  I prefer them to auto-tuned conversations.  :)

Thanks Vince.  Keep 'em coming!

FF is an acquired taste, but it has Death Knights, so it is a MANDATORY acquired taste.  :)

It may just be me, but I don't see this on your new site.

Save for Half Podcast / New site, new lease on life for the podcast?

I miss you folks on Save Or Die dearly.  Thanks again for all you did putting that show out.  The new crew is nice, but I miss the originals.

Does this new site for save for half mean we can look forward to the occasional podcast from you going forward?
